Event description

Format

• The topic would be an issue that everyone can relate to and touches us in our own lives
• 1hr long, with the discussion broadly split up into three sections:

1. Participants’ introductions
2. Understanding the issue. This could involve (doesn’t have to be everything here):
   1. Everyone reads/watches a short article/piece of media about the topic
   2. Moderators share their own experiences with the topic
   3. Everyone has a chance to ask questions to try and understand the topic better
   4. Come up with some discussion questions for part 3
3. Discussing solutions

• If there are more than 12 people in the call, after section 1 we’d split off into breakout rooms to get the discussion going (20 min) and then regroup afterwards and continue the discussion in a big group
• Keep everything casual, the main point is to meet new SEs.
